While swelling and discomfort were expected, the clinic provided attentive aftercare and clear instructions that have made the healing process manageable. Looking back, I feel genuinely satisfied and deeply grateful for the care I received. For anyone considering plastic surgery in Korea, I strongly recommend doing thorough research and choosing a clinic that truly understands and prioritizes your individual needs.   I discovered BT Plastic Surgery after doing extensive research on Reddit, PurseForum, UNNI, and YouTube while looking for a foreigner-friendly clinic in Seoul for hump nose reduction. After both online and in-person consultations, I decided to move forward with rhinoplasty and under-eye fat repositioning with Dr. Lee Hobin and Dr. Lee Seungho. Dr. Lee Hobin specializes in facial contouring, and Dr. Lee Seungho, an ENT, specializes in rhinoplasty, so it was very convenient to have both procedures done at the same clinic. I initially reached out via WhatsApp for an online consultation and received detailed recommendations along with transparent pricing. The in-person consultation was just as smooth. The clinic provides an English (and Japanese) translator, which made communication easy and stress-free. Both doctors took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and aesthetic goals, then gave thoughtful recommendations and realistic expectations. They also answered all of my questions thoroughly, which helped me feel confident moving forward. Since I was only visiting Korea for a short time, I really appreciated that they were able to schedule my surgery during my first week in Seoul.   I had primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Lee Seung Ho at BT Plastic Surgery in August 2024, and I’m very satisfied with my results. From the beginning, the team made me feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Lee took the time to patiently listen to my concerns and what I wanted. He also clearly explained the procedure, risks, and expected outcomes, which gave me confidence going into surgery. My results look natural and balanced with my features—exactly what I was hoping for. As an added benefit, I also noticed improved breathing, although this was not an initial concern. Swelling improved significantly over the first two weeks and continued to refine gradually over the following weeks and months. The level of care and communication was exceptional throughout.   Deceptive Pricing and Discriminatory Treatment of Foreign Patients. My son underwent cosmetic surgery at this clinic in May 2026, consisting of rhinoplasty and septoplasty. According to the clinic's own Korean-language advertisements and online Q&A responses after the event, the estimated cost of these procedures was KRW 3,010,000 (KRW 1,610,000 for rhinoplasty and KRW 1,400,000 for septoplasty). However, the clinic charged and collected KRW 11,700,000 from my son—nearly four times the advertised amount. More concerningly, no receipt was provided at the time of payment. As my son does not speak or read Korean, he was unable to understand the clinic's Korean-language advertising and pricing information. Given the significant discrepancy between the advertised and charged amounts, I am concerned that this language barrier may have contributed to the situation. When my son and I later visited the clinic to formally challenge the charges, a receipt was issued for the first time. However, it did not contain an itemised breakdown of the fees or any supporting quotation detailing how the final amount had been calculated. During our discussions, clinic staff stated that pricing may vary depending on a patient's nationality. If accurate, this would raise serious concerns regarding fairness, transparency, and potential discriminatory pricing practices. The clinic also claimed that it had intended to issue the receipt at a later date. This explanation is difficult to reconcile with the fact that the receipt was only produced after we formally raised our complaint. The matter remains unresolved. In my view, this conduct raises questions regarding compliance with Korean medical advertising regulations, including Article 56 of the Medical Service Act (prohibiting false or exaggerated advertising), disclosure requirements for non-reimbursable medical fees under Article 45, and potentially other consumer protection obligations. I strongly encourage foreign patients to exercise caution when dealing with this clinic and to obtain written quotations, confirm all fees in advance, and carefully compare prices with Korean version of advertisements before proceeding with any treatment.
