SHURINK UNIVERSE COST IN SEOUL 2026: HIFU LIFTING PRICE GUIDE
What Korean clinics actually charge for Shurink Universe, how shot counts move the price, and where the hidden fees hide.
By Editorial

Shurink Universe is the Korean HIFU device most first-timers actually book once they see the Ultherapy price tag. It uses the same focused-ultrasound principle for skin tightening but runs about a third of the cost per session. The trap is that Seoul price menus quote it in shots, not in areas, so two clinics quoting the same treatment can differ by ₩400,000 without either of them being wrong.
THE 2026 BASELINE: WHAT SHURINK UNIVERSE ACTUALLY COSTS IN SEOUL
The working range across mid-tier Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon clinics for a full-face Shurink Universe session in 2026 is roughly ₩350,000 to ₩900,000, or about $250 to $650. That range covers 300 shots at the low end and 600 shots at the top, both delivered with a mix of the 4.5 mm SMAS cartridge and the 3.0 mm dermis cartridge. Apgujeong and Cheongdam premium clinics quote higher, often ₩900,000 to ₩1,400,000 for the same shot count, largely for the address and the coordinator layer rather than a different device.
The reason the same brand-name device swings this much is that Shurink Universe is priced per cartridge and per shot, not per treatment. Every clinic buys the same consumables from Classys at the same wholesale rate. The number you pay is a bundle of shot count, cartridge mix, doctor time, and how much overhead the address on the door demands. If you already compared this against the higher tier in Ultherapy Seoul Cost 2026, you have already seen how much cheaper the Korean HIFU tier lands, and Shurink Universe is the reason.
WHY SHOT COUNT IS THE NUMBER THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS
Shurink Universe is delivered in shots, and every shot fires one line of thermal coagulation points at a fixed depth. A full face, no neck, usually takes 300 shots at 4.5 mm plus about 100 to 200 shots at 3.0 mm. Adding the neck pushes total shot count to 500 or 600. Adding a submental jaw focus tacks on another 80 to 120. When a clinic quotes ₩380,000 for Shurink Universe, ask exactly how many shots and which cartridges. The honest answer is usually 300 shots, 4.5 mm only, no neck, no top-up.
That is not a scam. It is the entry-level package, and it does something, but it will not deliver the jaw and neck tightening most tourists fly in for. Budget realistically for 500 to 600 shots if you want the full lower-face and neck effect people show in before-afters. That puts you at roughly ₩600,000 to ₩900,000 in the mid-tier Gangnam belt.

THE PRICE LADDER BY DISTRICT AND CLINIC TIER
Sinnonhyeon and lower Gangnam-daero clinics are where the cheapest credible Shurink pricing sits. Expect ₩350,000 to ₩550,000 for 300 shots, ₩600,000 to ₩750,000 for 500 to 600 shots, walk-up bookings often available inside 24 hours. The medical directors are often younger, the rooms plainer, the coffee thinner. The device is identical to what Apgujeong runs.
Apgujeong Rodeo and Cheongdam sit at the top. Expect ₩900,000 to ₩1,400,000 for a 500 to 600 shot session, sometimes bundled with a post-HIFU LED mask or a skin-booster shot. You are paying for the coordinator English fluency, the aftercare drink, and the sense that the reception looks like a Chanel boutique. If you want that experience, budget for it. If you want the tightening result, Sinnonhyeon does exactly the same job for 40 to 60 percent less.
Seocho, Sinsa, and outer Myeongdong sit in the middle, roughly ₩500,000 to ₩900,000 for the standard 500 to 600 shot session. Myeongdong specifically leans toward tourist-facing packages that bundle Shurink with a facial or with skin boosters, so line-item pricing gets murky. Ask for the shot count in writing before booking.
- 01Sinnonhyeon / lower Gangnam: ₩350,000-₩750,000 (300 to 600 shots)
- 02Seocho / Sinsa: ₩500,000-₩900,000 (300 to 600 shots)
- 03Apgujeong / Cheongdam: ₩900,000-₩1,400,000 (300 to 600 shots)
- 04Myeongdong tourist packages: ₩600,000-₩1,100,000 (often bundled, verify shot count)
- 05Add-on neck focus: +₩150,000 to +₩250,000
- 06Add-on submental jaw focus: +₩80,000 to +₩150,000
HIDDEN COSTS AND WHERE THE QUOTE SILENTLY GROWS
Three things routinely inflate a Shurink Universe bill in Seoul, and none of them are on the price menu. VAT is the first. Roughly half of mid-tier clinics quote the pre-VAT number, then add 10 percent at checkout. Ask specifically whether the number quoted is VAT-included, in Korean if you can, because the coordinator will not always volunteer it. The pattern is documented across other injectables in Hidden Costs at Seoul Clinics: VAT, Packages and Menu Traps.
Foreigner pricing is the second. Some Apgujeong clinics maintain a separate USD-denominated menu for medical tourists that runs 15 to 30 percent above the KRW menu Korean clients see. It is not universal, but it happens often enough at the premium tier that a five-minute check of a Korean-language blog review of the same clinic is worth doing. The third is the upsell. Coordinators frequently pitch a same-day skin booster, LED session, or Rejuran top-up during the consultation, and each of those adds ₩150,000 to ₩400,000. If your budget is fixed, say the number out loud before the consultation starts. See Avoiding Consultation Upsell for the exact scripts.

HOW SHURINK UNIVERSE COST STACKS AGAINST ULTHERAPY AND SOFWAVE
On the same face, Ultherapy in Seoul runs roughly ₩1,800,000 to ₩3,500,000 for a full-face session. Sofwave sits in the middle, around ₩1,500,000 to ₩2,800,000. Shurink Universe at 500 to 600 shots in mid-tier Gangnam is ₩600,000 to ₩900,000. That is a three to five times cost gap for devices doing broadly the same job at slightly different depths. The clinical result difference is real but smaller than the price gap suggests, especially for patients under 45 with mild to moderate laxity. The full head-to-head is in Ultherapy vs Thermage vs Sofwave in Seoul.
For jaw and neck tightening specifically, most Korean clinicians will tell you off the record that a well-delivered 600 shot Shurink Universe session gets you 70 to 85 percent of an Ultherapy result at a third of the price. If you are flying in for a lifting effect and your budget matters, that math is why Shurink Universe outsells Ultherapy in Seoul roughly ten to one.
